About

Liza Tognazzini, Owner/Producing Director

Liza Tognazzini was raised in the arts. As the daughter of a modern dancer and a musician, and the sister of a singer/circus arts performer, much of her youth was spent backstage in countless theaters. After a theatre laden high school career, Liza dove into a 2 year crash course in production in the dance and theatre community in Calgary. Her accomplishments included, but were not limited to fundraising, travel and artist accommodation, marketing, box office, to stage management, technical coordination, and outdoor on-site management .

In 2003, Liza chose to pursue a formal education and, after an intense application process, was formally invited to attend the highly prestigious Technical Production program at the National Theatre School of Canada, in Montreal, Quebec. As an elite, conservatory-style program, it is an accomplishment simply to be one of the eight students to be accepted into this exclusive program out of the hundreds of applicants that apply from all over the world. It was there at the National Theatre School that Liza began to realize her true potential in the entertainment industry as a manager and producer, and where she honed her craft with training and mentorship from some of Canada’s elite and foremost theatre artists. These artists included Norberts Muncs, Larry Isacoff, Danielle Irvine, and directors Sarah Stanley, Sascha Marine, Peter Hinton and Chris Abraham. Of the eight students originally accepted into the program, Liza was one of only six graduates to complete the program in 2006.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2006, Liza has been an Assistant to the Producer for the Hollywood Film Festival Awards, The American Cinema Editors Awards and a Production Assistant for the Screen Actors Guild Awards After Party. She has also Production and Stage Managed for numerous theatrical companies including A Noise Within, The Blank Theatre Company, Theater 150, Furious Theatre Company, LA Women’s Shakespeare Company and The Theatre @ Boston Court.

Liza brings to the table innate leadership qualities that have been honed, developed and finely tuned throughout her career. Her abilities to efficiently plan, program, execute, oversee and complete exceptionally complicated and detailed projects, are the foundation on which Really Truly Productions will be built.
